Have you ever felt left alone? Have you felt like people are not regarding you as they should? Sometimes, we feel like people are not respecting us and not acknowledging the positive impact we’ve had on their lives. However, we should not be too hard on such individuals because it’s human nature to forget things when preoccupied. Yet, there are instances when some people are too hardened and indifferent to appreciate the good things you’ve done for them. They willingly forget your kindness and may even withdraw from supporting you. Such individuals also disregard God and His laws. What happens when these people enter our lives?
Then another King, who knew nothing about Joseph, became ruler of Egypt. Acts 7:18
How can a Pharaoh forget Joseph, who saved the Egyptians and the world from a great famine? Egyptians had the habit of preserving their history; they liked to preserve the bodies of the kings and take pride in their history. How then could this king forget Joseph? Most probably, this king did not care about what Joseph did for them. He did not regard him as worthy enough to remember.
In our lives too, we may encounter people who do not consider our actions worthy enough to remember. As we see in this verse, a Pharaoh came to power who did not know about Joseph. We may encounter some people entering our lives who do not care about us. Perhaps a person of power and authority, a new boss in your office, a new life partner, or a new pastor. You may think this new person would care for you, acknowledge you, but when they come against you, you may feel betrayed and left out.
But when such kings come, who disregard Israelites, who disregard Joseph, then at that time, God prepares a Moses. Acts 7:20 says, “At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child.” When people disregard you, get prepared for an anointing. Get ready for something extraordinary when such people appear in your lives.
When Leah felt left out, when she felt that Jacob was not loving her as he should have, that’s when God chose her to bear the sons Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah. From these sons, God chose Levi as the tribe responsible for offering sacrifices and Judah as the tribe to lead the entire Israelites.
There was another person named Tamar who felt left out. The people responsible for her started to betray her, all wanting to prevent her from bearing the next generation. However, God knew her and gave her a son named Perez. Do you know the meaning of Perez? The midwife who attended Tamar exclaimed when the boy was born, “So this is how you have broken out!” (Genesis 38:29) The meaning of Perez is “breaking out.”
When people were preventing her from having a family, when people were not regarding her, when people wanted no son or another generation from her, God gave her a son named Perez. If you are feeling that people are not caring for you or are trying to stop you from growing, then remember that God knows you. You will come out for sure, and when you do, people are going to exclaim, “Is this how you BREAK OUT?” God has prepared a breakout season for you all.
Eli’s sons were wicked men; they had no regard for the Lord. 1 Samuel 2:12
Until now, we saw people forgetting about the good things of others. They do not care for people, but here we see people starting to forget God and His laws. They have started to disregard God himself. Even in such scenarios, remember, God is preparing a Samuel. 1 Samuel 2:26 says that Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the Lord.
In this generation, people are starting to forget God and His laws. They do not care about God. We are living in a world that loves itself and does not care for others. Then be sure it’s time for us to grow in God. He is seeking people who would stand for Him. In other words, there are ample vacancies in God’s presence. These vacancies promise good promotions—promotions and blessings that would ultimately lead you to a happy retired life.
Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the Lord than any of those before Him. 1 Kings 16:30
Ahab did more evil in the eyes of the Lord. He did not care about God or His laws. To understand the extent of his carelessness, one should read 1 Kings 16:34. A man named Hiel started to rebuild Jericho. Joshua had pronounced the curse that no one was to build Jericho. If they started to build the city, it would be at the cost of their children. When the foundation of the city was to be built, the firstborn would die, and when the gates were set up, the younger son would die. It was as if Hiel was ready to lay down the lives of the children. He did not care about God, blessings, or curses.
At that time, one man stood with God. This man had no family history, but this man from Tishbite stood for God. He challenged Ahab, and God helped this man named Elijah. For three years, he prayed for the same thing. He prayed that it would not rain in Israel.
Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. James 5:17
The question I would ask Elijah is, “Hey Elijah, wouldn’t God take care of the rain? If it was God who spoke those words that it would not rain, then why do you bother praying?” I believe he would answer me, “It is true that it is God’s will that it would not rain, but it is my duty to pray, for I am in a war. The whole Israelite nation is praying for rain, and the enemies are praying to Baal to send rain. Would it not be wrong if I just ate what God provides and remained silent? No, I will pray for the things I spoke, so that they might fail. There’s an enemy who is trying to prove me wrong, who would enjoy when people call me a false prophet. So I will pray more earnestly that it does not rain.” Prophets, preachers, and believers are then to pray that their words don’t fail.
Are you living in a place where people disregard you and God? Then get ready for an anointing, because God would like His spokesman in such scenarios. Be prepared for the anointing because God has chosen you and is ready to keep you in the QUIVER OF GOD.
May God bless you all…
